The Mainstreet Awards are the most imprtant event relating to main streets in Australia and New Zealand. It celebrates the efforts of all the centre managers, business owners and council officers that contribute to the success of our main streets.

The 2010 Mainstreet Awards builds on and expands the very successful inaugural awards in 2009. Key additions will include:

• Introduction of a centre-based Small Business Award
  This is meant for the small business that innovatively contributes to the overall success of a Mainstreet Marketing and Management Program
• Reflection and review of 2009 winners

Nomination Categories include:

1. Centre Manager/Co-ordinator of the year: Program with special rate under $100,000
2. Centre Manager/Co-ordinator of the year: Program with special rate over $100,000
3. Business Management / Marketing “Champion” of the year
4. Management Committee of the Year / Business Association
5. Program initiative, activity or event: Program with special rate under $100,000
6. Program initiative, activity or event: Program with special rate over $100,000
7. Program initiative, activity or event: Program with no special formal special rate
8. Council award: to the Council that best supports and facilitate management and marketing of centres
